Resources

Child Find  - It is important to find families and children as early as possible so that support and information can be offered. Hearing and Vision Early Intervention Outreach has worked to support infant hearing screening and vision screening and to educate providers.
Your Information Center - The Hearing and Vision Early Intervention Outreach staff wants you to think of us as your information center regarding vision or hearing loss in the young child.  Supporting families booklets are available related to hearing loss, vision loss and combined hearing/vision loss. A quarterly newsletter is produced. Trainings are conducted. Phone and e-mail support is available. Please contact us and take advantage of the services we offer.

Appropriate Services - Once families are identified, we must have appropriate services to offer. The Service Guidelines on Vision and on Deafness were put in place to help Child and Family Connections offices determine the steps to take to get these services started. In addition, Hearing and Vision Early Intervention Outreach is available to answer questions and help locate providers. This technical support extends to families, providers, or anyone else who might have questions.
